In addition to displaying its range of product options and service and support network, McNeilus is featuring the Oshkosh S-Series® Front Discharge Mixer at booth #C6545.

Ten additional vehicles will be featured in partner booths throughout the trade show, including an 11-cubic-yard Bridgemaster® mixer donated by McNeilus for the Concrete Industry Management (CIM) program’s 11th annual auction. The CIM program supports world-class academic programs and educational initiatives for the concrete industry.

The 2016 McNeilus Bridgemaster donated for the CIM auction includes an 11-cubic-yard M80 paver drum with a 46-inch opening, 3/16-inch shell and 1/4-inch AR steel fins; aluminum fenders; remote roller lubrication; SAT air lift charge hopper; slump meter; night pour lights; and 150-gallon aluminum cross mount water tank. McNeilus is also equipping the mixer with its Command Center EP touch drum controls. The 11th annual CIM auction will be held Wednesday, February 3 in the North Hall Room N262 of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Commit to Safety, Reduce Accidents By Participating in National Safety Stand Down

McNeilus and NWRA to participate in Safety Stand Down Jan. 25-29.

(Jan. 18, 2016) – The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) is asking companies across the industry to demonstrate their commitment to safety and participate in a week-long training and awareness effort focused on reducing accidents, fatalities and injuries related to truck backing incidents.

PrintThe NWRA Safety Stand-Down on vehicle backing runs the week of Jan 25-29. McNeilus is a member of NWRA and shares in the association’s mission to significantly improve safety for the waste and recycling industry. McNeilus supports NWRA in this Stand-Down effort, and all employees are encouraged to promote participation to our customers and others in the industry.

Participation in the stand down means a commitment to:

  • Conducting a risk assessment at job sites and reviewing safety policies and procedures for backing.
  • Reviewing company policies and procedures, and considering enhancements. Then, train employees on any changes.
  • Posting Stand Down materials to the company website, in employee meeting rooms and on social media sites.

NWRA has made safety its top priority, a pledge shared by its member companies. This Stand Down is positioned to provide participating companies with the tools, guidance and support necessary to reduce backing incidents.

(January 15, 2016) – McNeilus Truck & Manufacturing, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK) company, has introduced a comprehensive refurbishment program for your Curotto-Can™ branded automated carry cans through Street Smart Service™, that is designed to extend the lifespan of your refuse product.

The refurbishment program delivers new-equipment reliability at a far lower cost than purchasing new.  In addition, it includes several options that meet or exceed OEM specifications, ranging from minor repair work to major refurbishments that improve the structure of the can.

“The challenge of maintaining refuse equipment requires capable partners with innovative solutions,” said Darryl Ash, McNeilus vice president of operations and aftermarket development. “We’re excited to have another program to help our customers in this effort, saving them money and reducing downtime.”
