McNeilus Honored with Above & Beyond Award by Minnesota, Ohio Committees for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve
Award given for outstanding team member care during military service

Dodge Center, Minn. (Dec. 5, 2022) – McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK) company, recently received the Above & Beyond Award for exemplary support for team members during military service. The award was presented to McNeilus by the Minnesota Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), as well as the Ohio Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.
McNeilus, as well as the entire Oshkosh Corporation family, are passionate about supporting military team members and have many programs to showcase that care. The Company was nominated by Warehouse Manager and Sgt. 1st Class Kolt Krumpos from its Dodge Center, Minn. location and Jim McReynolds, Vice President and General Manager of Customer Support Solutions accepted the award at a ceremony at the Minnesota State Fair. McNeilus is one of 25 companies to receive this prestigious designation this year in Minnesota.
The company’s Ohio service branch was also nominated for providing extraordinary support while team member Jarad Wood served in critical disaster relief operations. Customer Support Manager Eric Berenstein accepted the award on the company’s behalf.
“At McNeilus, we have a people first culture where we care for our team members as well as their families. We’re proud to have many veterans and reservists as part of our workforce who bring unique perspective and skills to our team which enable us to provide great support to our customers. We salute their service to our nation and are honored to support them while they are on military leave,” said Jim McReynolds, Vice President and General Manager of McNeilus Customer Support Solutions. “We could not be more honored to have received this award at our Minnesota and Ohio locations.”
McNeilus has an active military employee business resource group that hosts events, provides mentorship and an opportunity to connect with service members across the company. The mission of this group is to recruit, rally and recognize current and former service members across the organization and is an important way that the company supports military team members.
“I’ve been with the organization for more than 16 years and I’ve been enlisted that whole time. Through my journey I’ve gone through three deployments, each around 15 months, which has been very impactful personally and professionally,” said Kolt Krumpos, Sgt. 1st Class and Warehouse Manager at McNeilus. “I’ve been fortunate that my leaders and peers at McNeilus have gone out of their way to check in with my spouse and kids, and even sent myself and my family care packages while I was gone. I’m proud to work at McNeilus and cannot thank them enough for the comfort they provided to me and my family while I was deployed.”
As part of the Oshkosh Corporation portfolio, McNeilus partners with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Hiring our Heroes program. This fellowship program matches transitioning service members with civilian opportunities and mentors in their final 180 days of active duty, working Monday through Thursday with their corporate employer to gain professional training and hands-on experience that prepares them to join the civilian workforce.
