McNeilus® Sponsors NRMCA’s ConcreteWorks 2019

Mixer Drivers to Put McNeilus & Oshkosh® Mixers Through Challenges in 14th Annual National Mixer Driver Championship

Dodge Center, MN  (Oct. 4, 2019)
–  McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK) company, returns this year to the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association’s ConcreteWorks as a main sponsor of the event, held October 3-7, 2019 at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center, Kissimmee, Florida. The company is also sponsoring the search for the “best of the best” mixer drivers in the event’s 14th annual National Mixer Driver Championship, held 7am-1pm, Saturday, October 5.

In addition to sponsoring the National Mixer Driver Championship, McNeilus is supplying six branded mixers for the competition: five McNeilus Standard Mixers and the All-New Oshkosh® S-Series™. The National Mixer Driver Championship pits qualified drivers against each other as they participate in a series of events, including navigating a challenge course, performing a vehicle inspection, completing a written examination and other additional skills challenges.

“McNeilus is sponsoring both the NRMCA’s ConcreteWorks event and the National Mixer Driver Championship as a testament to our continued commitment to the industry we serve. We cannot think of a better way to honor the drivers who put our mixers through their paces each day,” said Robert Monchamp, Vice President and General Manager of McNeilus Mixers and London Machinery.

The All-New Oshkosh S-Series will be on-site for the championship. Reducing total cost of ownership and maximizing profitability was the focus of the newly redesigned Oshkosh® S-Series from the start. Maximized payload, serviceability, reliability and fuel economy lead to the most efficiently running front discharge mixer. And we’ve added tools to make it stay that way with FLEX Controls™ and Oshkosh ClearSky™ telematics solution.

McNeilus proprietary FLEX Controls are featured on both McNeilus and Oshkosh trucks for the event. This proprietary system takes the guesswork out of any project. Improve concrete mix and efficiency with consistent loading, mixing and pouring. Easy diagnostics and troubleshooting to reduce guesswork and keep downtime down to a minimum.

ConcreteWorks event participants can check out McNeilus trucks up close at the Kenworth and Mack booths, with a London Machinery mixer also featured in the Volvo booth. The McNeilus team with be well represented at the event in our partner booths and during the Championship to answer questions about the trucks.
