McNeilus Reinvents Parts Brands to Better Meet Replacement Parts Needs for All Fleets
Street Smart Parts Gets New Logo, Focuses on Competitor Parts for All Makes and Models
Dodge Center, MN (Jan. 13, 2022) – McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK) company, is repositioning its replacement parts business to offer two distinct options for getting customers the parts they need, when they need them – no matter the makes or models in their fleets.
Street Smart Parts™ and McNeilus® Genuine Parts both offer quality parts, vehicle lifetime support, and 24/7/365 online ordering. Over the past 3 years the facility produced several hundred McNeilus mixers for the US market.
The Minnesota campus has been home to McNeilus mixer production for the past 50 years. The campus has increased in size over those years including adding the production of refuse collection vehicles 29 years ago. The transition of mixer manufacturing expands capacity for both McNeilus concrete mixers and refuse collection vehicles driving quality, delivery and growth.
The McNeilus Dodge Center Headquarters will continue to be home to the Mixer Research & Development Center for concrete placement products as our engineering teams continue to lead the industry with their customer-driven innovations. This includes the next phases of our award-winning FLEX Controls™ system driving the industry forward with its unique ability to help maximize total cost of ownership (TCO) for our customers.
Other announcements with this transition include changes to enhance overall customer experiences by bringing together the sales teams for trucks and our aftermarket parts. This customer focused plan will ensure each customer has a dedicated point person for the entire lifecycle of their product. There will be no changes to our market-leading customer support, service, and branch locations.
“We continually evaluate our businesses to ensure we’re focused on products, services and industries that align with our customer requirements, our core businesses and strategic vision. Consolidating manufacturing of all our mixer brands unlocks much-needed capacity and scale.” said Brad Nelson, president of McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing and senior vice president of Oshkosh Corporation’s Commercial Segment.
